I just tested this Tokina 16.5-135 lens and I will be sharing with you some of the vignetting and chromatic aberration characteristics that this lens has. These two characteristics are very important especially if you are doing any kind of professional photography works. You will want to have both at the minimum.
Unfortunately, this lens failed to perform on both ends. There is significant chromatic aberration at both focal range ends. This is true at the 16.5 and 135mm focal length. You can easily fix this issue using any post processing software of course, but I prefer to have it right on the lens in the first place.
Then, in terms of vignetting, this lens is pretty high on vignetting, especially on the widest focal length. You need to stop down by at least two stops to see some significant improvements here. This is quite an unfortunate thing to have on this lens.

Tamron 180mm Macro Review a Very Sharp Lens!
I purchased this lens after reading this convincing Tamron 180mm macro review on the internet. When I did my first shot, I have to say that this is a very sharp lens. But I am also editing all my own images for 3 days after the wedding where as before all I had to do was hand my 3 or 4 rolls of 36 prints to my carefully selected printer and hey presto my work was done. With film cameras a wedding photographers job was known to be skilled and the casual amateur would not risk competing with the professional. The Yellow Pages had a dozen or so local wedding photographers and that was it. Today a Google search for creative wedding photography will give you a choice of over a million. How times have changed.
